cowpuc Posted January 10, 2014 #1 Posted January 10, 2014 I think this guy has some great solutions for a number of little issues some of us have encountered with our Yams thru the years.. For sure he solved head shake, carb syncing, air flow, the need for nicer exhaust sound, traction control and some little V-4 modding questions.. GeorgeS Posted January 10, 2014 #2 Posted January 10, 2014 Do we know his 1/4 mile time ????------------ Just based on watching him go down the track beside the Chevy ???? Not very fast for a bike, on a drag strip. Hmmm I'm pretty sure that Any Hyabusa, off the show room floor, ( No Mods ) Will out run that set up. Or the Super fast Kawasaki, off the showroom floor. I would be interested to know the Total Weight of that Set up??? Looks pretty Heavy to me. A Stock Busa, weighs , just about 500 Lb, with about 185 HP.
ACE50 Posted January 10, 2014 #3 Posted January 10, 2014 A friend just put on a reinforced swing arm on his 2000 VMAX and larger wheels to use lower profile tires like sportbikes have. He says I made a world of difference in handling! I can attest to the lower profile tires as the Stratoliner front wheel on my RSTD made a big improvement in handling. I just have a slight rear wobble in high speed corners I think is coming from the rear tire. (E3) Gonna try another brand next time. At least the RS has a beefier swing arm than a VMAX.
