Freebird Posted January 5, 2014 #1 Posted January 5, 2014 Got home late last night from a week at our company resort on Round Lake near Hayward, WI. It was beautiful up there but dang was it cold. It was sub zero every night with the low being about 27 below zero. Did a little snowmobiling but it was just too cold to do much. Now I'm home but it's supposed to be 11 below zero here tonight. Gotta get out and plow the driveway today but am going to get it done as quickly as possible. I typically hate the hassles of flying now days but have to leave for Los Angeles for a trade show on Tuesday and am almost ...ALMOST...looking forward to it. At least it should be a little warmer there. Hope everybody's new year has started off on a good note. Remember....spring is right around the corner.
pmelah Posted January 5, 2014 #2 Posted January 5, 2014 thats a heat wave then going from -27 to -11 and next to the 60s and 70s:225: are you sure you will be able to handle the masive heat in la have fun to bad you wont have the bike to do some riding while your there
Freebird Posted January 5, 2014 Author #3 Posted January 5, 2014 Man...it would be great to have the bike with me. Can only dream about that though.
MidlifeVenture Posted January 5, 2014 #4 Posted January 5, 2014 You have a little time the temp is not dropping till monday afternoon . Watch flights out they have been a mess hope you make it out.
rickardracing Posted January 5, 2014 #5 Posted January 5, 2014 Rent one while your out there. Contact the local Harley dealer and see if they have any for rent.
Freebird Posted January 5, 2014 Author #6 Posted January 5, 2014 It's just talk. Heck I won't have time to do anything except company stuff. Between meetings and the show, my time will be completely taken. Wish I could though.
cowpuc Posted January 5, 2014 #7 Posted January 5, 2014 WHEW,, what an interesting start to the new year!! Kids were here for Christmas from Sac. All trying to get home, one daughter with her fiance ended up leaving Friday in a rental car and DROVE back to Sacramento cause they couldnt trust the airlines (she's in Residency), her fiance was suppose to fly down to Costa Rica for a school lab project but that flight got canceled 4 times and he went back to Cali with her in the car. Other daughter and fiance took the chance and waited on the airlines, our local (Grand Rapids) airport finally hooked them up with a flight out of Detroit headed to DC than on to Sac.. Tippy and I ran her over to Detroit, got home early this morning.. Personally I would have liked to kept em all till spring (its only a couple weeks away right?) but they got lives.. Now,, about that fresh foot of snow on the drive,,, wish I had your ambition Don... Man is it snowing here!!!!!:soapbox:
