Evan Posted December 31, 2013 Share #2 Posted December 31, 2013 Sure happy for you but you're making some of us with snow on the ground (like it is here) a bit jealous. Anyway, have a great first ride.
djh3 Posted December 31, 2013 Share #3 Posted December 31, 2013 Well if I would have read this earlier I might have. But my valve tool arrived a couple days ago and the spark plugs yesterday. So I decided today was the day to start the valve check.. Started @9 am and by noon I finnaly could see the frekin valve covers. Man I knew this would be labor intensive but sure didnt think that long to just get to valve covers. Maybe I should have went riding.
steamer Posted December 31, 2013 Share #4 Posted December 31, 2013 it gets easier and faster after you do it several times. I can get to the valve covers in about 30 minutes.... Don't ask:doh:
Flyinfool Posted January 1, 2014 Share #5 Posted January 1, 2014 Would love to. But the snow is so deep I cant even get to the building that the bike is in, let alone get it out. It just started snowing again at 3 this afternoon (Tuesday), it is not going to stop snowing till Thursday.

gez Posted January 2, 2014 Share #15 Posted January 2, 2014 I finished my 2013 riding year with a 220 mile trek to attend a NYE party in Umatilla, FL. It was a fund raising event for the Florida State Elks. Jim Larsen RAN 101 miles in 23 hours and 20 minutes. Way to go Jim! Got up this morning to 58 degrees and a steady rain. It rained on (mostly) and off the entire ride home, but did warm up. Took the scenic, non-highway route home, 235 miles in just under 5 hours, then I took a nap. Well wishes to all my Venture friends for a great 2014.
Dano Posted January 2, 2014 Share #16 Posted January 2, 2014 I at least went out and started it for a good warm-up and gas movin' thru the system, but it was late and dark..... So today I get up and there's 6" of new snow layin' out there! :snow:
