Sounds like life on the Bonnie Dick. For all you army types that's the USS Bon Homme Richard. CVA31, Not the new one. Makes me old I guess.

"laid back?, In the mid '60's when I was on the USS Dodge County we hauled a lot of marines back and forth thru the Panama Canal for jungle training before heading to 'Nam. I don't think I ever saw any laid back Marines. You folks were mostly full tilt boogie!!

When were you on the Bon Homme Richard? My uncle was lost overboard from her in 1965(?). He was a mechanic on an A4 I believe.

 

Did my time in the Corps.
