ragtop69gs Posted January 21, 2014 #53 Posted January 21, 2014 Did I here something about a pool party at a certain Hampton Inn on Friday nite? Sounds like a great idea John. I could use a nice swim & hot tub session.
bongobobny Posted January 22, 2014 #54 Posted January 22, 2014 Hey John, Jay and Larry, I am also meeting up with a Trike Talk member from China MI this weekend as well. On the serious side if you would like to get together at the Hotel this Friday evening that would be fun!

KarlS Posted January 25, 2014 #58 Posted January 25, 2014 This weather bites the big one, for the last two days all we have been hearing around here is all the wrecks and closing of sections for the freeways do to ice. The weather forecast doesn't show any improvement so I won't be showing up tomorrow because of the wind, cold and ice. Gary said if it improves tomorrow he might make it but will make his final decision tomorrow. Hope you all have a good time and get there and back safely.....Karl
bongobobny Posted January 25, 2014 #59 Posted January 25, 2014 We/'re snug as a bug in a rug in our Hotel room....
BradT Posted January 25, 2014 #60 Posted January 25, 2014 Weather here is not much better and if it does not improve not sure we are going to make it. Brad
ragtop69gs Posted January 25, 2014 #61 Posted January 25, 2014 We/'re snug as a bug in a rug in our Hotel room.... And you can finally get some rest now that all us troublemakers left. We had a nice visit with y'all tonight, looking forward to doing it again tomorrow night with the rest of the gang too, at the restaurant.
Carbon_One Posted January 25, 2014 #62 Posted January 25, 2014 Had a great visit with everyone tonight. Well worth the drive thru Detroit with windy blowing snow. See ya'll tomorrow evening. Larry
bongobobny Posted January 25, 2014 #63 Posted January 25, 2014 Yes it was a terrific time!! Glad you all came over, made the day!!!
adventurer 08 Posted January 25, 2014 #64 Posted January 25, 2014 Yep, it was fun, had a chance to meet some new people to ride with this year. We will see you all tonite.
BradT Posted January 25, 2014 #65 Posted January 25, 2014 Okay officially not going to make it. We went out and was plowing snow with the under side of the car. Had some breakfast and can't get on the highway 401 West bound. Tried two different places and both have gates closed preventing you from getting on the highway. Came home and thought I was going to be shovelling the road to get home. Almost got stuck, had to back up and take a stab at it about 6 times. Going out to shovel and then not sure what is going to happen. Eddie did you have a rain day LOL Brad
ragtop69gs Posted January 25, 2014 #66 Posted January 25, 2014 Dropping like fly's, I guess our Canadian friends can't drive in the snow . Since there won't be anyone crossing the border to join us, maybe we should move the meet to this side of the lake, it would cut off a good chunk of the drive time. Mt Clemens, Chesterfield, Sterling Heights or something. What y'all think?
Carbon_One Posted January 25, 2014 #67 Posted January 25, 2014 While there'll be no big snow aclumination here roads may make driving a challenge. Carbon_One Posted January 26, 2014 #69 Posted January 26, 2014 Sorry if I scared anyone off with that weather report, Yes it was fairly nasty out there till about 1pm then it cleared up and roads became dry. By the time we left the house around 4 it was business as usual on the freeways. Bone dry roads all the way there and home again tonight. Posted a couple pics on BongoBobs post http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?threadid=84015 Anyhow we had great food and greater company to share it with. Larry
