XV1100SE Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 If Wagner Grills were made again, would you buy one ?
Venturous Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 I have one now so don't need another. But if I had another RSV, yes, I would want another. RIP Steve!
MidlifeVenture Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 Any photos of what you are talking about? I take it this isn't something to cook hot dogs?
Bert2006 Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 I would certainly get one black or colour matched if possible.

friesman Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 My preference is colour matched but if I cant get that i owuld settle for a black Brian
Mike G in SC Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 Me, no. Just don't need one. BUT...... At STAR Days in PA this year, a clean used one was donated for a charity auction. It was one of the highlight items of the night. Not sure what it sold for but I think it was more than new. So, they are hot.
MidlifeVenture Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 Well thats not what I got from Google but that looks nice. I could say I want one , because my radiator has some rock dings. But allot would depend on cost of the product wether I could afford my wants.
Stealthblade Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 Color matched, and you have all my money.
k9cottage Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 yes depending on price and postage price costs they do look good.i even have the paint to match the 99
Barrycuda Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 YES!!!! First choice : color match Second choice: black
XV1100SE Posted December 13, 2013 Author Posted December 13, 2013 My understanding that black would allow you to have it painted any colour you want. I created this poll in answer to a thread started by Bert2006 - http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?p=808947&posted=1#post808947
bongobobny Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 U betcha Don!! Of course I would prefer an original...
djh3 Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 I like that style better than the chrome looking grill deal. Black would be color matched. Lol
kevin-vic-b.c. Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 My preference is colour matched but if I cant get that i owuld settle for a black Brian I can make it any colour I want if I have one
dueyk1111 Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 would love to have one, waited to long before n steve passed away . have an 06 blackcherry, please keep us posted, i would almost bet there is enough interest!:
Phoneman1981 Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 I already have one for my bike, but always reccomend them to other riders I meet on the roadways. I am sure there is still some demand for them.
jakester Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 I have had them on previous bikes, really nice and tough. I have one in the shed now with a rivco center stand and a few other goodies waiting for me to put them on the current ride. It is ok to harvest a few accessories when you sell a bike. Yes it is worth getting another one, if I had the need. Bill
TheKid Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 I guess the biggest question is. Does Mrs. Wagner still have all the molds, etc and is she still willing to sell and how much. It could be a fun side hobby but a tough one for sure, specifically finding all the different paint codes and buying the paint to match. Going with either a primer or black would be the easiest. I am glad I have one on my ride for sure.
Condor Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 (edited) If I didn't already have one for each of my 2ndGens, you bet I would. When I first got the '07 that was the first thing I did, and I think I picked up the last one Steve had. It came in primer, but I would have much preferred some type of color. My '99 has one in silver. All black would be OK for the '07. That said I can see why Steve stopped supplying them in matching colors. It's a lot of extra work. I still haven't painted '07's. XV1100SE Posted December 13, 2013 Author Posted December 13, 2013 Just to clarify.... I am not looking into making the grills. Bert2006 asked about doing a poll to see how many would be interested in one so I posted this for him. I have received a pm from Ragtop69gs who indicated he spoke with Steve before his passing but they couldn't agree on a price. If someone wanted to start making them then the forms/details are probably still available from Steve's wife.
Carbon_One Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 (edited) I would defineately buy another one, either color matched (prefered) or black. Had one on my 05& loved it. Edited December 14, 2013 by Carbon_One
tomephil Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 Depending on price, I would be interested.
Cougar Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 I sent Steve the MM paint from color-rite and he painted it then clear coated it. still going strong. love my grill !
awsmsrv Posted December 13, 2013 Posted December 13, 2013 I got one for my RSV right off the bat. If I needed one, I'd certainly get one. Great addition to the bike.
