Stanman Posted December 9, 2013 #26 Posted December 9, 2013 (edited) I don't remember a difference in throttle control on my Cushman Eagle as opposed to later motorcycles, but then again that was fifty plus years ago. Also I have Windows 8 and like it. My girlfriends laptop has W8.....what a piece of crap to figure out how it works Edited December 9, 2013 by Stanman typo
RandyR Posted December 9, 2013 #27 Posted December 9, 2013 My girlfriends laptop had W8.....what a piece of crap to figure out how it works for those having problems with Win8 I suggest doing the upgrade to Win8.1 before you revert to Win 7. At the lower left hand corner of Win8.1 there appears an arrow, which, if clicked on gives the icons for everything that previously was in the Win 7 startup menu.
SilvrT Posted December 9, 2013 #28 Posted December 9, 2013 Mid April you guys on XP will need to get off of it. MS is dropping it then. NO MORE fixes for any hacks after that.. As long as a person does not upgrade various software apps, etc that require a newer version of Windows, you can still run WinXP. Here at the office, all of our CSRs use WinXP and the software is in-house developed. The only app that might at some time require upgrading is IE. That said, if the time comes that we are forced to upgrade IE, then we will probably have to upgrade Windows. By that time though (probably May 2014) we will be replacing all our workstations and you can be sure that they will be running Win7. Just ordered 2 new laptops from Dell and got them with Win7 Pro and a "free" Win8 upgrade (if and when we desire to go to Win8)
