Huggy Posted December 3, 2013 #1 Posted December 3, 2013 To day I installed my new/rebuilt carbs that I got off of Fleabay. They where in fantastic condition!! All I had to do was make sure all the channels where clear and I swapped out some of the new parts from my old set into them. I did this so I wouldn't have to bother with cleaning jets and things. Also I found one main fuel jet laying loose in one carb bowl. Reset all the float heights and installed them on the bike. I then installed my new IgniTech TCI and put the filter back on. Took a few minutes to get the bike to start, cold 0C, but when it did start and after I let it warm up I was able to adjust the idle down to 1000 rpm. I tell you the bike sounds a 100 percent better with the new cabs and TCI. I am one very happy GRINCH!!!
Venturous Randy Posted December 3, 2013 #3 Posted December 3, 2013 Bled my left front caliper so I might take a ride today or tomorrow. Supposed to be 65 tomorrow. RandyA
Huggy Posted December 3, 2013 Author #4 Posted December 3, 2013 Great feed back!! On another site that I'm on there is a "What did you to your Bike today?" Thread. I thought it might be interesting to start one here. The members found it satisfying and helpful to be able to just let everyone know what they where up with there bikes. Even if they just went for a ride or even just washed the bike.
Peder_y2k Posted December 3, 2013 #5 Posted December 3, 2013 I went out into the garage and looked at all my bikes, and looked underneath on the floor for any wet spots....found none. Then started looking for a bike part delivered from an e-bay seller that got mislaid, not finding it again. Came back inside from the cold (48*F) to warm up and think about next spring riding. -Pete, in Tacoma WA USA
Bert2006 Posted December 3, 2013 #6 Posted December 3, 2013 Looked at the bike in the garage as I was backing up the cage in a driveway full of snow...........and went to work:crying:.
cecdoo Posted December 3, 2013 #7 Posted December 3, 2013 Put Stabilizer in tank, went for a 50mile ride, topped off the gas tank added a bit more stabilizer and tucked her away for the winter:bawling: Craig
SilvrT Posted December 3, 2013 #8 Posted December 3, 2013 "What did you do to your bike today??" Not a damned thing ! didn't ride it, didn't sit on it, didn't fix anything (coz nuffin needs fixin), didn't "pimp" it (coz it's already pimped), didn't even look at it. .... but I did DREAM about ridin it!
stickhandle2 Posted December 3, 2013 #10 Posted December 3, 2013 I thought about how nice it would have been to be riding my bike while going along the Wine Route here in Niagara rather then driving in the Jeep. Not to mention the bit of a difference in fuel economy. Another thing I miss, is my Jeep doesn't have a cassette like the bike has. Guessing I will be doing alot of thinking about riding over the next few months. Mike.
ToyOdie Posted December 3, 2013 #11 Posted December 3, 2013 Rode to work in the fog. Rode home for lunch in the beautiful Florida sun. Rode back to work in the beautiful Florida sun. Getting ready to ride home in the dark. Same as most every day.

naturbar Posted December 3, 2013 #13 Posted December 3, 2013 Cranked it up, let it warm up and charge battery. Put it back to bed.
cecdoo Posted December 3, 2013 #14 Posted December 3, 2013 winter??? Yea unfortunately we have a Winter season, and they love to coat the roads with gravel and salt, takes the fun out of riding for me. Would be awesome to live where I could ride year round, maybe someday...
Evan Posted December 3, 2013 #15 Posted December 3, 2013 Rode a bit here in Toronto (Ford Country *#*) yesterday. Today I just went down to where I park the bike in our underground parking area and had a look. Also tried out the Yamaha Venture accessory travel bags (with the Venture logo) that I just found on Kijiji. They fit like a glove inside the saddlebags. In addition, I mounted one of the LED running lights on the shock just below the fairing. Love it mounted there with the shock mount hardware that came with the lights. Will post some pictures as soon as possible.
KICKSHOT Posted December 4, 2013 #17 Posted December 4, 2013 Rode it to and from work. Dang near got me a ticket letting it unwind up the access road. Oh well. Tomorrow I will be able to say the same. kickshot
beastwood Posted December 4, 2013 #18 Posted December 4, 2013 I held back from riding today because rain was forecast. A cold front is moving in, so I'm hanging back till the weather clears up.
leo3wheel Posted December 4, 2013 #19 Posted December 4, 2013 Cranked it up, let it warm up and charge battery. Put it back to bed. Yeah that!

Dragonslayer Posted December 4, 2013 #23 Posted December 4, 2013 I looked at mine through the bathroom window just to make sure she was still waiting on me and a sunnier day to ride.
Howard B Posted December 4, 2013 #24 Posted December 4, 2013 Put mine on the bike rack on the back of the motorhome. Leave for Palm Springs today. Maybe i will ride over to the air museum. It is a pretty good museum if you're into that sort of thing. Come on down. Should be a nice day!
