Guest tx2sturgis Posted December 2, 2013 #1 Posted December 2, 2013 Look ma! It's a bird! It's a plane! NO! It's Amazon Air! [ame] [/ame]
LilBeaver Posted December 2, 2013 #4 Posted December 2, 2013 You and your shipping containers... :stickpoke: %%%% Actually, I was surprised to find out, a while back, that they had started SAME DAY delivery in a few select markets. Provided the customer demand (and willingness to pay for it) is present, I see no reason that this air delivery service couldn't become a mainstream reality relatively soon in some areas.
Brake Pad Posted December 2, 2013 #5 Posted December 2, 2013 Just make small parachute and drop them from a small plane, get more deliveries done in one shot
Guest Posted December 2, 2013 #6 Posted December 2, 2013 Until the first one crashes into a house or a person or drops off your package in a water puddle rather then in a protected area. The possibilities are endless. I can just imagine the UFO sightings as well. (yes, I do work for the Post Office)
djh3 Posted December 2, 2013 #7 Posted December 2, 2013 Saw it on news last night. The guy from Amazon said probably 3 years out. They wanted to be sure they didnt drop it on someones head or into pool or something. At least they are thinking thru it, instead of just forcing it to work like.............some stuff our government has come up with.
Huggy Posted December 2, 2013 #8 Posted December 2, 2013 I see one of them flying over my house I'll get the shot gun out and see what I get for shooting down the UFO!!!!
Max Posted December 2, 2013 #9 Posted December 2, 2013 hmmmm, I know the ol' pellet gun is somewhere in basement corner..
Eck Posted December 2, 2013 #10 Posted December 2, 2013 Now that's a way to collect sealed boxes for small things around the house. Wonder how many will be shipping drugs over the boarder that way...........
Mike G in SC Posted December 2, 2013 #11 Posted December 2, 2013 They will get taped to the ground,,,,,, with RED tape! Goverment has enough to cover the whole country.

Now are they going to have a 'repo bot' for the time to recollect on the rentals that are not returned?
RandyR Posted December 2, 2013 #16 Posted December 2, 2013 It'll be ready to implement once the problem of lowering and retrieving a tip jar to the delivery address is solved.
