Where can I find a front audio cable for 1st gen?

Does anyone make a replacement for the front audio cable? Mine was intermittent when I plugged in my headset, and I made it completely shot when I tried to fix it.

I looked at Pinwall, but they did not have any of the cords for 1st gens.

Does anyone know another place to search?

I looked at the one from Sierra, but it doesn't seem to have all the connections to hook up to the stock connectors. It does have the headset plug, but I am not sure if I could patch in the other connectors.

Is it not just the standard 5 pin plug type? You need from the bike to your helmet?

The other connector part way down your stock cable is for the attenuator in the little control box by the clutch.

 

You can use the Sierra cable (I use one) but you lose the functionality of that little volume knob.

Cable is 36" long, with 5 pins and a junction with a 3 wire flat plug. A better picture is below.

No, not the intercom volume control.

 

On the little grey box above the clutch reservoir is another volume control. There is also one on the passenger remote. That control will not turn the volume up, but lets each person turn down from whatever the amp/cb/intercom are set at.

 

So if your passenger likes it loud, you crank the system up and can then turn it down a bit at the handle bar. That capability is what you lose with the Sierra cable.

 

Since you didn't know what I meant I'd guess you never used it and won't miss it.
