I want to replace the tank on my 09 RSTD with the larger RSV tank. What is the oldest model year 6 gal. RSV tank that will fit my bike?

I just did an ebay search for Royal Star Venture Fuel Tank gas. 62 results. Several from Pinwall cycles. $300 on down. Mostly scratched dented dinged tanks. Paint could be another $300? I simply carry extra fuel with me. Have not needed it yet.

99 to 2013 are the same tank

You might try to locate a 2008 RSV tank in Charcoal Silver that might match your TD'09, or a 2009RSV in Candy Red/ Raven depending on which color bike you have. Either will come close enough that you won't have to paint. Color list is HERE.

 

I just gave $300... included shipping... off eBay for another tank for my '99. Mint, in like new condition. We dickered. They were originally asking $350 plus shipping, but lets face it, business is slow. There are lots of tanks listed on eBay, but most are dinged or dented, and I can't believe the price these sellers have them listed for.... and they end up keeping them. Good luck in your search.
