Midrsv Posted November 29, 2013 #1 Posted November 29, 2013 I upgraded and discovered that a critical application that I use won't run now. It is Adobe OnLocation to capture video. Apple was no help and now I'm scrambling to find a functional replacement. I've found one but its going to cost me $99 and a bunch if time to learn it. Make sure your applications support Mavericks. I'm not happy with Apple. They're just like Microsoft now. Dennis
pick Posted November 29, 2013 #3 Posted November 29, 2013 Wow, I have been wondering about upgrading, just was waiting to hear about any bugs. I don't use th at application, but was wondering if I would lose any functionally? Thanks for the heads up
Midrsv Posted November 29, 2013 Author #4 Posted November 29, 2013 From browsing various Apple forum sites it appears that there are more bugs than just mine. Do your research before upgrading. Dennis

Dennis Hey Dennis, have you ever played around with Virtual Machine software? It is basically a program that creates a "machine within a machine", or a Virtual computer on your existing system. This would allow you to run an older version of the MAC OS in the virtual machine and then run your Adobe software within that VM. VirtualBox is a good and FREE VM hosting software. Just an option if nothing else works out. Joe
