I received this email from Edsets and thought I would pass it on in case some of you were thinking about buying an Edsets product.

This is our Winter newsletter, and we apologize for a technical problem with our web-hosting company that caused us to have to send this newsletter twice since their system failed to get them all sent. But we wanted to let you know quietly that we are offering a

15% Discount now to 2 Jan 14

[1.] EdSets is in the spirit of Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, and New Years. Joy is a universal human condition, and because EdSets customers live in over 40 countries worldwide, we're glad to be able share the joy of motorcycling and touring in the USA with the rest of the world. Did you know that folks in Finland, Iceland, and Norway use EdSets gear? In fact, EdSets are the only headset to make a 3.5 year world tour to over 35 countries, and the rider (Wheezy Rider, aka Peter Sever) had great things to say about his EdSets gear: Sounded great, never gave any problems, and were abused beyond the pale! It is a true blessing to be able to provide EdSets gear to people everywhere, and from our fans, we know that we're doing a good thing here.

[2.] This is the best time yearly to save on EdSets products, and we've upped our previous discount from 10% to 15% because we know the economy is not exactly booming. EdSets make great gifts, and you can order gear for a friend of loved one, or even offer your favorite rider a gift certificate from EdSets if you're not sure what they would want.

[3.] Starting today, when you add items to your shopping cart, you can use the Coupon field during checkout to add the code 'HoHoHo' during checkout and your discount applies automatically.

[4.] Here at EdSets, cold weather means it's time to suit up with extra heavy protective gear, and it's also a good time to spend some quality time with maintenance on the bikes. Topping off fluids, setting tire pressures, and most importantly getting some of those mid-summer protein splats off the fairings that we never want to bother with during warm weather! I've heard that a dab of hydrogen peroxide helps! Ed tends to take a torque wrench to the nuts and bolts that are critical for safety. During heat and cold cycles, fasteners can work loose.

If your EdSets gear needs any maintenance or repair, this is a good time to do it. Remember that you have a liberal 3-year warranty on your gear, the longest in the industry!

Check your cables out, and make sure your speakers are both working, and test the mic as well. Many forget that you can test the mic by simply turning on the intercom and talking, the side-tone lets you know it's working as designed. On the website at EdSets.com, there's a troubleshooting guide there to help you isolate any problems. Look for it on the EdSets Library on the left side at the bottom, or click here: http://www.edsets.com/EdSets_3G_Testing_Guide.pdf

[5.] For those who have been on the road, and didn't catch the news, we've introduced our new Thunderclap speakers to rave reviews. Everyone that tried them has praised them for clarity, power and the best thing is that they are still only 10mm thick like our blackface speakers, and only 4mm additional diameter, which means no problems installing them in most helmets.

These speakers bring a new game to helmet audio: Powerful Bass and Treble with virtually no audible distortion even at max volume on any of the factory audio systems on any touring bike. They are so powerful, that you can put foam earplugs in and listen to the speakers at higher volume without causing hearing damage, and the bonus is that your audio will sound better than if you were riding down the road in a Cadillac! Check them out here: EdSets Thunderclap

Thanks for reading, and please give us a call if you have any questions, inquiries, problems, or just want to talk about riding with audio gear!
