well i bort this screen on ebay 80 dollars plus 75 for shipping

when it ariavd set about fitting it very frustrating holes in the roung place and to much materiel on the bottem had to move the 2 outside holes 10mm in and take 5 mm off the bottom just to get it to fit

so was not very impressed with that although it has very good clarity

will keep you posted about scratch resistance

the fitting ishuw kills it for me not good enough slipstream how about sum quality control

Bought the same brand off eBay earlier this year for my '99. I needed a shorter shield (previous owner put a MONSTER on) so I could look over it and the old one was scratched up. Perfect match and no issues when mounting. So far in 3 months its been great, held up well to bugs and washings with little to no scratching. Been debating getting a tinted shorty for the summer months.

 

Hopefully you have the same luck with yours now that its mounted.

am very happy with the clarity of the slipstream as was over having to look over the old one still had the factory one from 1983 lol was cactus

I'm thinking something similar....Installed mine about 4 years ago... fit perfectly.

I've had mine on for about a year now. About 6k miles all up and down the East coast and have had no issues. It fit as well as the stock one did on initial install.

 

I polish with Pledge after each washing (or after a long day of riding)

 

Works great so far

 

Still no scratches.

I bought mine from a member some time ago and have had ZERO issues with it. Surprised your are having this much trouble.

aside from the holes in the roung place im happy with it they did ofer to replace it but its $70 postage both ways so I just re drilled the holes and its fine ame going to contact slipstream and see what they say

I bought a 6" dark tinted Slipstream for my '99, it fit like a glove.
