HI all..

I ride into work at 3:15am every morning, usually without incedent.

This morning was different..as I was nearing the end of my 40 min ride,ALL my lights went out.. I first notice the dash light, then Headlight, since I was a half mile from destination I just continued on. once in the garage at work, I see I also have no lights in the rear either..

every light on the bike is dead but the radio light, which still works..

turned bike of, and then restarted it to make sure the battery wasnt dead, and it started right up..still no lights..

I am at work and my computer time is limited so, after a quick search for this issue and no luck, I figure it is time to ask for help.. since I still have to ride home..

my first thought is a fuse.. but to have one fuse for every light doesnt sound right..

plus I am at work and dont have manual to even know where the right fuse is located.

anyone have an idea of what may cause this and where I should look???

Thank you....

The headlight fuse is behind the fake battery cover (or side cover) under the seat on the right side. If you have passing lights look for chaffed wires where they come into the light bar should you find your headlight fuse blown...

You only have to remove the front allen screw to get the cover off. The back one is a dummy or spare screw.

Now that you have found your blown fuse. If you have passing lights check to make sure the wires are not getting pinched when you make a full left turn or when you park the bike.

YEA 10-4 on that. Especially if you had the fairing apart lately. When I dropped the light bar to gain acess it pulled the wires down which I was OK with. I just wasnt very good about tucking them back up after I put the fairing back together. Pinched them bad boys knocked out the passing lamps, markers and something else. I think the headlight still worked. It was a mess to try and fix without pulling wires all the way out.
