The Tooch Posted November 23, 2013 #26 Posted November 23, 2013 I woke up this morning and looked out the window, total white-out conditions. Blowing sideways snow with very high winds. I can't see the house across the street. Reality is......I'm sure it's still there?!
Huggy Posted November 23, 2013 #27 Posted November 23, 2013 I woke up this morning and looked out the window, total white-out conditions. Blowing sideways snow with very high winds. I can't see the house across the street. Reality is......I'm sure it's still there?! It's only real if you can see it!!! For all you know when the blowing and snowing stops and it may begone!! So was it real or was it not!!!

saddlebum Posted November 23, 2013 #29 Posted November 23, 2013 reality is that the computer age did not make life easier like my grade 9 teacher said it would. and to think they sent me to the principals office for fibbing.
KICKSHOT Posted November 23, 2013 #30 Posted November 23, 2013 Each of us has a vision of the world that belongs to him alone, and when he dies that world dies with him. Others may share in some parts of it, but none will see it exactly as he does, nor will all experience it in the same way. For they are living with their own vision of reality. Each man's vision of reality is based upon his life experience, the influences of people, places, books, dreams, work, all the various aspects of his existence that go to make up him or her. I just had to do that. I have had these two paragraphs in front of me for about 26 years now. It is some thing I think about often. What is my reality? But I'm sure glad for all who have shared in it and for all the influences, good or bad. For now it's a pc, a cold Shiner Oktoberfest and the wait for warmer weather! kickshot
Squidley Posted November 24, 2013 #31 Posted November 24, 2013 My reality.... blue mtn. jim Posted November 25, 2013 #32 Posted November 25, 2013 I seem to remember the guy I see in the mirror, but some way along the line that wild and crazy guy is gone. I hate to have to grow up. because you could get away with a lot because you where to young and now all I have are Senior Moments. As I read some of the posts I think we all are in the same boat of life, but the greatest thing of all is knowing where you are going when the curtain closes. I am very blessed and I thank GOD for it, and I pray that the LORD blesses you and your love ones. From the new guy on the block, Jim DuBois
bongobobny Posted November 25, 2013 Author #33 Posted November 25, 2013 (edited) Tooch Yes many times we must put our faith in things unseen! I don't see you now but I saw you yesterday so you do exist! Ground Hugger I was thinking the same thing! What if the house is blown away by the storm, does that mean it never existed?? Star Fan no they are unfortunately real, we just wish they were unreal... Saddlebum are you sure they sent you to the principal for fibbing? You have been known for stretching the truth... KICKSHOT when I first read your response I was going to ask you for some of what you were smoking but the more I read it the more it made sense... Squidley I can sort of understand that, my son was taken away by his mother when he was 5 but Becky's 2 daughters feel like I am more of a father than their real father... blue mtn.jim I have never been more positive of of anything than my home in heaven because I have accepted Jesus as my Lord, Master and Savior! He died for me, the least I can do is live for Him!!! Welcome aboard Jim! Edited November 25, 2013 by bongobobny
Venturous Randy Posted November 25, 2013 #34 Posted November 25, 2013 Reality, to me, the thought that something that every living creature has, but also distinguishes them from not only the type of animal, but to each individual creature, is amazing. This is, as we know, Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA). To realize that we are all given something so uniquely individual that also incorporates our genetic history absolutely amazes me. To me, this is a reality that just could not happen randomly. RandyA
SummerBreeze Posted November 25, 2013 #35 Posted November 25, 2013 Reality is knowing that no matter how hard I try I will never be as smart as I was at 16. That after 23 years of being married to my best friend she still thinks I can do anything. Reality is rembering what I thought it would it be like when my hair turned gray, I retired and be Blessed enough to do what I want and that it is at least twice as good as I thought it would be. Reality is knowing that as good as it is this is just a sample of what it will be like when the here after calls my name. Hope to see you all there when that comes to reality.Be Blessed in all you do.
bj66 Posted November 26, 2013 #36 Posted November 26, 2013 Reality is......Chat room isnt very busy anymore.....
Keysyrider Posted November 26, 2013 #37 Posted November 26, 2013 Reality is we are all children. The only difference is that we are old children and have learned to build fences, hide our emotions, and mask our intentions.
Pegasus1300 Posted November 26, 2013 #38 Posted November 26, 2013 anything that doesn't disappear when you stop believing in it is real. Something may be true today but not tomorrow Truth is true yesterday, today and always
Wade 2000 Posted November 26, 2013 #39 Posted November 26, 2013 Reality is rare, especially in the techno manufactured world we live in. When you doubt what you see and hear from "Leaders" and "Media". Those who are intrusted with providing facts and truth. Reality is people that you can affect and who can affect you Reality is the power and laws of nature Reality is sometimes forces we cannot see Reality cannot be reproduced
