I just bought a 2013 Venture and looking for ways to make it "mine" and I ran across the RC-XCELERATOR. Has anyone out there used one of these? Do they work and are they worth the cost ($400). I'm putting LA Chopper slip on mufflers so I imagine I'll need to adjust the air/fuel mix but something like this looks promising.... OR is the Power Commander a better way to go?

Same question...

You do realize this is intended to work with fuel injection, not carburetors? Your Venture has carburetors, no ECU, etc..

..and that's why I came to the forum. I didn't catch that but when I did a search for Yamaha Venture, that came up. I thought it was odd for a moment but just "assumed" it was a compatible device. I reckon we can call this thread closed! lol

Since you have a brand new (I assume) 2013 Venture (the last year, so far) you have a five year warranty from the factory. I would be cautious trying things out that may affect the warranty.

Just ride, Michael, just ride. Rack up them miles and check back here for the farkle ideas and maybe some routine maintenance pointers. You really should have no need to be quizzing anyone here for problems. There prolly won't be any.

+1 on the advice to ride!! No need to tinker on a 2013!!!!! If you ever ride to Florida, I'll be able to use my CarbTune on it and see where she's at...

You do realize of course that you already have 97 HP, on your Venture !!!

 

Keep the RPM's " UP " just in case your coming off of a Harley, and used to low RPM"s

or some other big twin !!

 

Don't forget, the two top gears are both " Overdrive " Keep the REV's UP, on this bike you will like it !!!!! :cool10:
