Guest Michael Kleine Posted February 27, 2008 #1 Posted February 27, 2008 Need opinions on which lowering kit works best. I would like to lower seat about 1 1/4". I'm 5'7".
Guest msegelle Posted February 27, 2008 #2 Posted February 27, 2008 Another option maybe to have the seat foam cut down a bit and the seat narrowed in the front to get you closer to being flat footed. I just bought a Venture as well and am the same height so once the weather here in Missouri warms up I will be looking at these options to help me be more flat footed with the bike as well. Onother suggestion is were thick soled boots? These were cheaper solutions other on the site have offered in the past. Good Luck and safe riding.................. Mark:322:
eagleeye Posted February 27, 2008 #3 Posted February 27, 2008 You can slide the tubes up into the trees 1". That is a FREE solution. Steve

I'm 5'1', used to be 5'2" before 2 back surgeries. I ride a 96 RSTC. I cut my seat down without dropping the frame and I can flat foot it. here's a pic. http://i177.photobucket.com/albums/w235/crawdaddy6/rstar.jpg Crawdaddy
Johnh Posted February 28, 2008 #5 Posted February 28, 2008 I installed the Barons kit on my 2005 RSTD a couple years and 25000 miles ago and have been very happy with it. Others on here don't like it.

autopilot Posted February 28, 2008 #7 Posted February 28, 2008 Crawdaddy, Did you do the work yourself of have it done somewhere? I'm also curious about comfort in the saddle after a couple of hours? Oh Yeah........Nice ride! JohnH, I used the Baron's kit and like it just fine!
