It was bound to happen after getting dosed by someone with a big pail of ice water ...... No names mentioned just the culprit was small and attacked from behind when he wasn't looking .......Poor guy.

First of all that was a really long time ago. :no-no-no: Like over 4 yrs now. Plus that's a lame excuse for going rogue. Plus I don't think that person is taking the blame for that.:innocent: Hmmmmm oh and how could you blame that little person. :whistling: Little people have feelings ya know. Yeah that's right!!!! :)

Oh and it wasn't just one person it's just that was the one that got the blame. Oh and got caught on all them camera's and video's. :whistling:

Don't ya just love those neighbors that plant their trees right on their property line without regards to what's going to happen years down the road. Not all that bad when they're saplings, but when they end up 40-50 feet tall and shed leaves and... in my case...those dam Liquid Amber sticker balls by the ton, they become a pain in the A$$. I hate raking someone else's leaves...and don't even bring up those balls.. I finally got the guy to cut down the three trees in the front yard, but I still have one of them in the back. I also have some sort of Japanese Maple on his side, right next to my office, and the thing ended up covering part of the office roof and the eaves of my house. Filled up the gutters every year. I finally invested in one of those pole pruners with the chainsaw on the end. The Maple now ends at his fence line... :) Sorry for the rant, but your post got me going...

Ya I know where you are coming from! The trees next door are pines and they are on the west side of our property which of course is where our drive way is. So we get tons of pine needles, pine cones and all the dead branches on our side of the property line and on our vehicles!!!!:yikes: All due to the fact that 90% of the time the strong winds comes out of the west!!

OK KIC just to catch you up, Freebird bought a Harley, then a boat. He put his Venture up for sale and Yammer bought it. The world ended while you were sleeping the other nite...

Congrats to Condor to open this up for reflection and comments. Guess I am also an example of a guy who signs in or posts in a bit of an erratic manner. I sure relate to those comments from members who talk about other things in their lives that cause that. I think there may be a few other factors that have not yet been mentioned. For example, I tend to not post on technical matters when I know there are others who have much more credible knowledge than I can offer As a result, I hold off unless I think that that sharing my own experience might be useful. I also find that I am less inclined to comment on a topic that has been repeatedly addressed in the past. It might help (just an idea) if the welcome message when new members do come on-stream also includes some brief mention to the wealth of information and the best method to search for already existing posts or threads on a topic of interest.

With that said, I strongly endorse, for example, the comments made by Don (XV1100SE) who talks about love of bikes (Ventures), valued technical info and friends. This site remains very special for me even if I go a spell without being able to log/post and the number of posts by others is less.

We all discover that once we retire we've never been so busy in our lives...

:sign yeah that:

But you know why?

You used to get up at 5:00 am, go to work, run a few errands on the way home, play or visit with the kids for a little while, then get to work on those renovations until midnight.

But we didn't FEEL busy.

Now....it's like "sorry, I can't do anything on Thursday....I have to go to the doctors"

In fact....I've heard it said the reason we retire is to make time to go to all those doctor's appointments.

Or maybe....go grocery shopping.

That's the whole day shot!
