DragonRider Posted November 12, 2013 #1 Posted November 12, 2013 Well I have been x rayed, mri-ed and just about everything else they can do to keep getting my co-pays and finally getting some relief for my back and neck pain. I am a candidate to have the nerves in my back burned where the pain is coming from and as soon as this shot wears off in a month or two I will have that done. The surgery will be on my neck to fuse c4/c5-c5/c6 and remove the disks and bone spurs, had this done once 13 years ago on other disks below these. My vertabrae are degenerating badly and some may have to be removed completely and replace with spacers. Dec. 13th is the day, just happens to be a Fri too...........was the earliest he had open, gee I wonder why nobody wanted surgery that day??? So glad its goint to be winter soon and I won't miss being on the bike too much.:crying: He did tell me this was not going to be as easy to get over as the first tiime I had it done, so didnt ask the question about resuming riding, guess I will wait till its over to find that out so I dont have to dwell on it.
mini-muffin Posted November 12, 2013 #2 Posted November 12, 2013 Well good luck with the surgery. Just remember to take it easy on your recovery. We don't heal too fast anyway as we get older. Do what the doc and Charlene say. Margaret
DragonRider Posted November 12, 2013 Author #3 Posted November 12, 2013 Yeah, tell me about it.........How is Jeff doing with his foot? Well good luck with the surgery. Just remember to take it easy on your recovery. We don't heal too fast anyway as we get older. Do what the doc and Charlene say. Margaret
mini-muffin Posted November 13, 2013 #4 Posted November 13, 2013 We are waiting for the call for his next surgery. They are going to fuse the ankle this time. The other surgery didn't work quite the way they hoped. Cartilage only partially regrew and the bone plug disappeared. So this should take care of the pain he's in and he will have limited motion just not sure how much till he gets it done and has PT. Margaret
Carbon_One Posted November 13, 2013 #5 Posted November 13, 2013 with your up coming operation Lewis. Hopefully by spring you'll be healed up. At least well enough to ride. Yep best not be dwelling on this except to get better. Larry
