Phoneman1981 Posted November 10, 2013 #2 Posted November 10, 2013 I agree. Hard to imagine. One never has to look very far to find others in more desprite need. So very thankful for what I have.
Eck Posted November 10, 2013 #3 Posted November 10, 2013 This is such sad news. Those people always have it bad and never get a break.

brd7666 Posted November 10, 2013 #6 Posted November 10, 2013 Up early this morning, News, reports, from Phillapines, death toll from the typhoon is now up to about 10,000 !! That is some sad news for sure. In the link below, they are saying that there are 10,000 deaths just in one city. I'm sure the number is going to go a lot higher when it's all said and done. It just goes to show how much power those storms have. http://news.yahoo.com/philippine-typhoon-deaths-climb-thousands-092323892.html
Freebird Posted November 10, 2013 #7 Posted November 10, 2013 I was in touch with friend from the Philippines. She is in the UK now but all her family is still there. Was glad to find out that they live in the northern part of the country and were not affected to badly. Our prayers go out to all those who are affected.
N3FOL Posted November 11, 2013 #8 Posted November 11, 2013 Our family live in the Islands of Luzon and they only felt some winds and no damage. Thank God they are all fine. South of Manila especially in the southern islands of Visayas are hard hit. The people of Tacloban and Leyte are hardest hit with loss of life. It is truly very sad. Sad sad sad. Tonight, we are donating to the Philippine Red Cross only as we want to make sure funds are given to the people who need them most. As a side note, Thank You to the US for sending marines from Japan, millions of dollars from Australia, Canada and as far as Saudi Arabia for recovery and relief efforts.
