Hi,

Just ordered three sets of brake pads from Dennis Kirk for my 83 VR....I've searched for posts - found some good stuff on bleeding...is the actual change over much of a problem? It appears all three sets of calipers should come right off...guess I'm looking for any hidden issues.

Thanks in advance,

Rick

I've never had to bleed the brakes due to changing the pads. I simply use a pair of channel lock pliers to slowly squeeze the rams in before removing the old pads. I compress them all the way in. Very slowly. Then put on the new pads and re-install. Have done it that way for years with no problems at all.

I forget the name of it, but on my rears I had to use a brake pad adhesive to keep them from clattering around. Drove me nuts trying to figure out the noise! Cheap insurance, though.

Good luck,

Dan
