Squidley Posted November 8, 2013 #2 Posted November 8, 2013 Do you think the bike will make it here Paul? If you need both tires, the Kenda Kruz's seem to be a decent inexpensive tire option. I have and am currently using the Shinko Tourmaster with decent results for the money. Motorcycle superstore has the Shinko 777's (which is what I'm running on my '86, and I love them) in the correct size for the bike which is 120/90-18 on the front and 140/90-16 on the rear for $83.99 and $84.99 The 230 Tourmaster (which I have on my '83 and really like them as well) are $64.99 for the front and $78.99 for the rear. There is free shipping on orders over $49 I have the tires that are on my '83, the rear is wearing down and probably doesn't have but about 2 or 3 K left in it. The front has a lot more wear left, probably 5 or 6 K if I was guessing. I'd be happy to give you the tires if you want to come over here, we could just swap them out rims and all. That is if your bike will make it on the tire you have. I'll just buy a new set for the '83. You could also buy a new rear tire and we could change it here and I'll give you my front one. Let me know what would work for you, but I dont think I'd waste my time with amazon on this one as you'll still pay shipping....
dna9656 Posted November 17, 2013 #3 Posted November 17, 2013 check this out http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=130+90+16+dunlop&rh=i%3Aaps%2Ck%3A130+90+16+dunlop
jasonm. Posted November 18, 2013 #4 Posted November 18, 2013 the rear tire should be the 140/90 ! THE 130/90 WILL CAUSE THE STEERING TO BE TOO QUICK. I have what the manufacturer calls a140/90. But I noticed it was significantly narrower that the previous tire. The bike turns / leans quickly. Something that you may not like. Plus the 140/90 will give you better mileage than the thinner 130. Stick with the original sizes! I have found cheap tires do not last...
