Need a part for a bicycle

My mother-in-law had a folding bike, an Amica which she donated to one of my daughters, but in the process it made a stop in my shop to make sure it works good.

It's a folding type with a three speed rear hub. What I need is the shifter part for the handle bar. It's a Torpedo Dreigang. The shifter is red. Seems that they may be a bit hard to find. Anybody want to part with theirs? I know you all have one,,,,,,

Thanks, I already seen that one, that would cost me around $100 by the time it's all said and done,,,, nope, bike is only worth about $50, maybe, so now she would run the risk of somebody stealing it to get their hands on the shifter,, lol.

Had thought about that as well, but waiting to see if that one would work. It needs to have the right setting for the gearing to work.

Thanks for the effort, I'm hoping somebody has the needed info as to whether these are compatible.

Does this help?

Believe it or not I might actually have one like that I will have to dig a little but if I find it its yours. At one time all three speed bikes came with those.

What's wrong with it? I'd be tempted to remove the rivets and take it apart and fix it, then reassemble with mushroom head stainless allen bolts (available at my local ACE Hdwe).

Would, have done that,,, but,,,, it's not there to do it to,, so I have to find another to practise on,,, but thanks for the idea.

If you have a local bicycle shop that's been in operation for awhile they ought to have some like it. I don't think indexing was an issue with those you just use it to pull a cable that moves your gearing in an internal hub. You pull, it shifts, you're good.

Use the Sea Foam Deep Creep to loosen it up inside.

We do have a bike shop here, and the owner is as old as the hills and has been there forever, and seems to know the problem quite well. Two things: he says that the indexing may be the same and maybe not, and,,,, they had a flood a couple of years ago and so threw out all that stuff because they never used it. I can go to other bike shops, and plan to do just that,, once I hear back from Saddlebum.
