will a transmishen out of an 89 1300 fit in an 83 and are the ratios the same ?

aney help would be appreciated having 2 gear probs with the 83 and figer this may be tthe best way to sort it ?

Yes, the 89 and 83 are the same. Another option is to go to a 2nd gen Venture with the wider spaced gears. Just make sure you can get the forks and shift drum with it. This might work good if you spend a lot of your riding on flat land and want a higher 5th gear.

Yes, that should fix your problem.

When you get to the drop down menu for "state", select the blank spot above AK (Alaska). Hover your cursor over the blank spot, notice it is highlighted and then click this highlighted blank spot. Then, there will be no state selected.
