EXECTIVE Posted October 23, 2013 #1 Posted October 23, 2013 I know it's talked about a lot and grease is what's needed ....every one says wait to you change tires...I still have 5-8,000 miles left on rear tire before I have to change it...the clicking is getting louder and clicking all the time forward and backwards. Question what is making the tic, tic, tic noise? ...and can it wait till I change the tire?.....is damage occurring ? 2000 RSV
2WHEELSFORME Posted October 23, 2013 #2 Posted October 23, 2013 It is not hard to remove the rear wheel if you have a lift.
etcswjoe Posted October 23, 2013 #3 Posted October 23, 2013 Here is the link that explains it: http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=13263 I myself would not wait on the off chance that it is something else.

Flyinfool Posted October 23, 2013 #6 Posted October 23, 2013 I have had a significant rear end noise for quite a while now. I have been assured that is entirely due to my eating habits.....

etcswjoe Posted October 23, 2013 #11 Posted October 23, 2013 33,000 miles the noise is louder when I ride 2 up...could that be the u joint? More than likely the pins just need greased in the rear wheel.
