Is it easier to change fork seals with the forks on the bike or off? :confused07: I am switching my 88 and 86 forks, so I can go either way. 86 forks are already off, and I have polished the aluminum.

I plan on doing this today.

Another question is, do I have to take the tops off to refill the fork fluid if I'm not changing the seal, or can I fill it from one of the EADS holes?

So you want to drain it and then refill it from the anti-dive?

I don't know why that wouldn't work.

With the fork tube inverted the fork oil would flow to the upper spring chamber.

You may need to work the slide action to facilitate the transfer.
