Leather tanned in the US?

Customers often ask me if leather is still tanned in the US. I knew it was, however I figured it would be expensive and possibly hard to find. What I did not know was that some of the leather that I use in my products is leather tanned "right here in River City U.S. of A! SAAALUTE". http://www.touringhogs.com/images/smilies/biggrin.png
