Guest ds390ss Posted December 11, 2006 #1 Posted December 11, 2006 does anyone know if I could swap the bigger venture seat to the tour deluxe without any major mods? 2005 model...thanks paul
Lone Eagle Posted December 11, 2006 #2 Posted December 11, 2006 My belief is you cannot as the frame is slightly different. I tried to go that route - but was told I couldn't.
pegscraper Posted December 11, 2006 #3 Posted December 11, 2006 I don't own that model myself, but here is some information I swiped from somewhere a while back and stored for future reference. You'll have to make a simple little L bracket. Anything can be done. The impossible just takes a little longer.

Do you have a pic? Did you change out just the drivers seat or both seats??? I had always wanted to put the Venture style seat on the bike - seemed like it might sit lower and be more comfortable - but was always told that the frames were different so I couldn't. How did you attach yours - especially to get it on and off so fast? I can get mine off, but I can never get it back on without really fighting trying to get that front "tongue" in where it is supposed to go??:confused24:
Guest mlbaugh Posted December 12, 2006 #7 Posted December 12, 2006 Hey, could this be a possible solution for us that are short of stature? I think the TD is a bit lower than the Venture, and my wife could enjoy the comfort of the plush Venture seat. Is this possible? Mark in Mississippi

Mark in Mississippiif the td is lower it is the seat.otherwise the frame and basic bike are basically the same.
