Sounds great let me know when you expand closer to Georgia.
etcswjoe Posted October 3, 2013 #3 Posted October 3, 2013 Sounds like a great Idea, would not mind doing something like that a lttle further south.
dave_wells Posted October 3, 2013 Author #4 Posted October 3, 2013 Sounds great let me know when you expand closer to Georgia. After your post I think we just did Georgia for me is a long weekend Plenty down south would camp with you for a short weekend
Skid Posted October 3, 2013 #5 Posted October 3, 2013 I like the idea. Nothing like riding & camping in the same weekend.
etcswjoe Posted October 3, 2013 #6 Posted October 3, 2013 I am about 85% sure I am camping out next weekend the 12th to the 145th at Hungry Mother State Park in Marion Va at the foot of the "Back of the Dragon" (RT 16) should be some good riding, I hear the tropical storm that is coming up will probally take most of the leaves away next this weekend and early next week.
Huggy Posted October 3, 2013 #8 Posted October 3, 2013 Can I bring my tent? You can bring it to the North Shore of Lake Erie next summer if you want!!!
Freebird Posted October 3, 2013 #9 Posted October 3, 2013 I'm actually probably going to do that. Just got to get the passports renewed first.
Huggy Posted October 3, 2013 #10 Posted October 3, 2013 Now all you have to do is how to rig up a carrier for the bike!!! And let us know when you do! Perhaps we could have meet and EAT somewhere!!! I'm sure a few members would be up for that!!
Flyinfool Posted October 3, 2013 #11 Posted October 3, 2013 Can I bring my tent? Can you tow that with your Hardly?

Pegasus1300 Posted October 4, 2013 #20 Posted October 4, 2013 Back to the original premise check out The International Brotherhood of Motorcycle Campers. http://www.ibmc.org.
Shamue Posted October 4, 2013 #21 Posted October 4, 2013 GREAT IDEA.... I'm in an area with maybe 2 or 3 venture riders, but do a lot of mc camping, at least once a moth and usually twice in the warm months. It would be nice to have a sub-heading for venture member camping dates, experiences, and general how to's for better more efficient ideas. Don't want to add more work for this site, but, I do think this is the best site for information and friendship. I plan on retiring in a year or 2 and will be mc traveling/camping almost full time and hope to get the opportunity to meet many of the members here, that have helped with my venture. Have used another nice helpful site for mc camping: http://www.motocamper.com All Campers I want to start a camping group Camping and riding and cookouts are a fun time Ohio, Northern Kentucky ,West Virginia ,lower Michigan ,Western PA and Eastern Indiana locations would be 2/3 hour drive max Friday after work that's not to bad Here in Ohio there is a nice campground I enjoy called Snowden Lake I would be glad to host an annual group camp out here I can host late October or early November if anyone is interested They allow 2 camping units and 6 people to a site There is a lake with swimming fishing and boating It is just south of the Hocking Hills area The area has some real fun roads My thoughts are a min 1 camp out per month The host can Get all info and lead a leisurely ride on Saturday taking time to view some sites Friday Night we arrive Saturday we ride for a few hours Saturday night we have a pot luck dinner followed by a camp fire Sunday we head home I know I am not the only guy on this forum interested in camp outs..........

tufftom4 Posted October 4, 2013 #23 Posted October 4, 2013 I belong to the International Brotherhood of Motorcycle Campers and they have campouts year round and all over the country.
Prairiehammer Posted October 4, 2013 #24 Posted October 4, 2013 I belong to the International Brotherhood of Motorcycle Campers and they have campouts year round and all over the country. Me too. http://www.ibmc.org/ And the Motorcycle camping forum that Shamue mentioned is located here: http://www.motocampers.com/ That other link he suggested is not valid.
dave_wells Posted October 4, 2013 Author #25 Posted October 4, 2013 Back to the original premise check out The International Brotherhood of Motorcycle Campers. www.ibmc.org. I was a member for a few years the only issue I had was I am not retired and don't have the time during the week for camping That is why I am trying something different IBMC is a fun group and I did enjoy the camp outs I did attend
