Pressure68 Posted October 2, 2013 #1 Posted October 2, 2013 So I have no headlight, checked the fuse all is good. Checked the bulb all is good but still have no headlight (highbeam or low beam). All the other lights are working except the head light grrrrrr . Could it be switch in (high/low) on the bar or is there a relay specifically for the headlight I'm missing ?

Yes, this was my problem and I understand it is fairly common. I was surprised at the green crud that had accumulated when the switch was opened, and the thread gives an excellent step by step procedure for doing that.

RandyA yea..what he said...also I had the same problem and it was my starter switch too.

Like Kevin said it's an 86' Standard thats not in bad shape but has gremlins for sure. With all the help here should be easy to get her back to the way she should be My bad, thanks for the tips and your right it will be the best $12 i've ever spent on my bike Kevin thats awesome your on here too I'll try the starter switch thing and keep ya posted
