Wow....not sure what started the whole thing but these bikers are a bunch of morrons as far as i am concerned. Hope nobody was hurt when the SUV climbed overa bunch of bikes at the start and hope the occupants of the vehicle are ok too. Idiot moves all around.

It's amazing how brave people are when they are in a group. Get these guys one on one and they probably are a bunch of cowards. Where was the POPO when all of this was going on? Those guys need to come on down to Georgia. If one of them came up to the vehicle they would probably be looking down the barrell of a gun.

I don't care what started it.

There's no excuse for such behavior from those punks.

I think the suv driver would've been justified to throw it in reverse and back over a few more bikes, or do whatever it took to keep them away as long as possible by continuing to move.

A mob of Billy Bad Ass punks who felt brave in their numbers.

Sickening.:headache:

What a bunch of morons. Like somebody said, he should have driven over more bikes - then backed up to make sure he really got 'em. There's no excuse for this sort of behaviour.

I was thinking how scary it must have been for the SUV driver... he was being targeted for quite awhile!

This old world really can be a sad place at times.

Strictly an A-hole move on the part of those wanna be tough guys. One thought does come to mind. Growing up and living there, that type of chasing is USUALLY for a reason. Perhaps the driver of the range rover cut someone off or had words prior to what we see. Not condoning the pack mentality, but something must have been not cool for 30+ bikes to be tailing you that distance. Just saying...

I hope they catch every one of those SOB's and throw their @$$&$ in jail. I think the driver showed real restraint in how he tried to get away. I wouldn't have.

We were caught in a bike swarm driving through Dallas/Ft Worth around 10PM one night. Those idiots were crazy the way they were riding and the speed they were going. I held my lane and slowed a little so I wouldn't ride over one of them if they went down. It is a scary deal.

I hope they catch every one of those dirt bags and take their license away besides castration so they can't breed more dirtbags.

a car is a lethal weapon, us that M F'r and take as many out as possible, then start shooting:thumbsup2:

That's going a bit too far.

That suv could go a long way before those bikes could stop it.

The driver had the right to do whatever was necessary to protect his family and himself. That would include crunching as many bikes as he had to, and may even require going over people if he had no other choice.

Having said that, he would not have the right to act out of anger, or with wreckless disregard for the property or lives of others.

He would only be able to do what he could to keep himself and family from being harmed / killed.:cool10:

but after they forced the suv to a stop, I feel he had every right to run right over those bikes, and when they were chasing him, he should have just started bumping them into the guardrails, he was in fear for his family's safety.

we need to ride respect for others above and beyond what we expect from others if bikers ever expect to get past the biker gang stigma

Everyone is at fault here. The a-holes on the bikes were in the wrong and the suv was in the wrong. Bottom line, suv ran over and killed someone, they deserve to be put away. Everyone of the "bikers" should loose their license. Suv could have and should have called the state police. They would not have been hard to find.

Hind sight is always 20/20.

To be honest with myself, as the situation was unfolding, I am not sure how I would have reacted.

In thinking about it.

Once they showed aggression, I think my reaction would be clear. My truck can go 600 miles on a tank, I almost never get below a half tank, so I would still have at least 300 miles of gas, I know none of those bikes could match that. Any bike that tried to stop me would learn just what the phrase "tonnage rules" means, and at freeway speeds their gear would not help them.

I also am not sure how those bikes will do off road. My truck has hit 70 on logging roads.

If they did manage to disable the truck to stop me, and attack like the vid, then the loud noises would surely start.

well you can see right at the start of the vid the white bike went in front of the suv probably to slow it down or stop it till the pack could pass at which point he runs it over and causes the pack to stop the first time, then he barrels trough the causing the chase. the suv should have moved to the far right lane before the pack was even on him, he left himself get caught up in it the middle of it.

after he hit the first bike and stopped i would have been the first one to step in and try to resolve it calm cause both parties screwed up but after he plowed through the pack i would have been out for blood with the rest of them, you use a car in a malicious intent say goodbye to any leniency

We don't have to worry about stupid things like this happening in La. We have the "Stand Your Ground" law AND we don't need a lousy Permit to carry weapons in our vehicles IN PLAIN SIGHT if we so desire.:cool10:

Boomer....who sez 2 wrongs don't make a right...BUT... I would NOT allow anyone to threaten me or my family the way that 1 biker did by smashing a window with his helmet.

Saw this on the national news tonight. The SUV did hit one of the bikers causing him to go down and broke his leg. What caused the action for the fellow to try to slow or cut off the SUV prior to that? Did the SUV run some of them off the road? Cut them off. Dont know because all you get is the video, not anything prior. Were they right? NO but neither was the SUV. Wonder if someone in the SUV was on the road as soon as the bikes became agressive? Surely the passenger in the SUV could have gotten one tag number out of the mass of bikes. Were they jack a$$ causing the entire bike community to look bad? Maybe, but the other bike clubs dont help either. Some of those probably would have been carrying a firearm (sans permit) and just plunked the SUV dude.

The reason I hold my reserve is once I was riding iwth some friends in Oklahoma. We got pushed off the side of the road into the breakdown lane and almost off a bridge. The driver never slowed to see if anyone was effected. We tracked them for about 15-20 miles and one of the guys that got squeezed off rode up next to them to give them a piece of mind, you know tell them they are number one and so on. The car then swerved to try to tak him out again. Well my buddy kicked the mirror off the side of the car and we went on our way. They werent using the mirror anyways when they merged.

Regardless if there was an "incident" prior to the white bike stopping the SUV, he had the right to protect his family. I think the SUV driver really showed restraint not taking out a whole lot more when things were getting scary. As I stated before, I was in a bike swarm in Dallas/Ft. Worth, the bikes are loud, they are riding crazy and coming from all directions. They pass on the right shoulder, left shoulder, they split lanes and it is hairy. Guess if yo haven't "been there" you may not understand the reality of the situation.

I just 1200 miles with my daughter, son-in-law, son and 2 year old grand Princess. ANYBODY who would have threatened their safety would have payed a very dear price. You smash a window next to my Grand Princess, and it really would be the last thing you do. Not bravado, just fact.

When the white bike stopped in front of the suv with all of the other bikes around the driver of the suv had every reason to feel threatened. At that point the driver of the suv was justified in doing whatever was required to get away. Stopping in front of another moving vehicle that should be going down the road save for the bike arbitrarily stopped in front of it is NOT something that is alright for bikers riding in a group to do. The other bikes can just catch up, you cannot just stop traffic arbitrarily because you are riding in a group. It's not even really a good idea to block a lane at intersections so that your party can pass, although it happens and is largely tolerated even though there is no legal basis or protection for doing so.

I'm not saying they are right. But The white bike pulls over in the lane and slows. Clearly the SUV dont even seem to slow and closes the gap and then runs into the bike. Last time I knew of someone in an rearend accident the person driving into the back of someone got a failure to have vehicle under control ticket. The SUV could have slowed before hitting the bike, if so this is long before any stopping traffic, tire slashing, running over people and smashing of windows.

Hind sight being 20/20 It seems strange that those of you wanting to give the bikers a "" possible reason not shown prior to the video" for their actions have not suggested that the numerous bikers present (without license plates) take down the plate number of the vehicle "displayed both front and back" and call the police?????? On the bright side was looking for the "faster " 1st gens and did not see any in the pack of rocket bikes :whistling: :confused24:
