Freebird Posted September 30, 2013 #1 Posted September 30, 2013 Here in a few minutes, the RSV will be heading for its new home. It is a bittersweet day because I love the bike and will miss it so it is a sad day for me. It is a GREAT day though in that I know it is going to a good home and is going to make somebody very happy. He knows all about VentureRider.org and will be checking in soon I'm sure.
XV1100SE Posted September 30, 2013 #2 Posted September 30, 2013 It served you well and the new owner will get lots of enjoyment out of it. Don't see the clown noses on it... take it you transferred them over to the HD or the boat? :-)
Yammer Dan Posted September 30, 2013 #3 Posted September 30, 2013 Wonder how that changes the ratio of 1st Gens to 2nd Gens??? Be carefull Boss!!
bongobobny Posted September 30, 2013 #4 Posted September 30, 2013 With the end of every chapter there is a new one started...
Bert2006 Posted September 30, 2013 #5 Posted September 30, 2013 Hard to see them go.........Not trying to hijack your thread, but noticed that you had different - black antennas on that RSV, can you share what those where and if the performance was as good or better than the OE ones. Thanks
skydoc_17 Posted September 30, 2013 #7 Posted September 30, 2013 Hey Don, I've been to your house, my friend, and there was NO WAY we were ever going to get any Maint. Day work done in that garage of yours with TWO full touring bikes in there! This is a SAD day in deed! I hope you didn't sell that trailer with your RSV, you MAY need that puppy as you put a few miles on the HD. (Hardley Ridden) Just Sayin', Boss Earl
Eddie Posted September 30, 2013 #8 Posted September 30, 2013 that is sad Don, I was going to keep mine too, but after being spoiled with all the new great stuff on the road glide I didnt ride it anymore

Thanks Those are Firestik antennas. The antennas on the '99 models were junk. Yamaha changed to a different design after the first year. These work very well though and are easy to tune.
Freebird Posted October 1, 2013 Author #10 Posted October 1, 2013 OK folks, the bike is resting comfortably at it's new home. Does anybody recognize this place.

Prairiehammer Posted October 1, 2013 #17 Posted October 1, 2013 OK folks, the bike is resting comfortably at it's new home. Does anybody recognize this place. Hey! That looks like the roof of Yammer's infamous "One Hundred Year Build" garage. O.M.G.! Yammer, you Judas!
mini-muffin Posted October 1, 2013 #18 Posted October 1, 2013 Well if Yammer bought it I'm glad. At least we know it was a well taken care of bike and hopefully he won't have to do anything to it for a while. Besides isn't it an old bike now, it is a '99. That makes it like 14 yrs old. Margaret
