I live in Hickory, 20 minutes east of Morganton. If you feel like a ride Sunday let me know. I'll be out camping with the wife Friday and Saturday....

Regardless, I hope you enjoy yourself out here in Western NC, we have some great roads...

I live in Marion just 20 miles west of Morganton where the best roads to ride are.I will be available Sunday if anyone wants to get together and ride.

At exit 106 off rt 40

 

8:00 am for breakfast and then a ride

 

The group is the NC Knobbies

A friend is a member sounds like a fun group

Had a great time today getting to meet and ride with some VR members. Rooster1, Hazenson, and Dave_Wells, it was nice getting to hang out with you guys. It was an awesome day for riding here I the NC mountains. Dave, we covered a lot of ground after the rest of the crew left. I hope you enjoyed you time here in NC, I'll be sure to give you a holler if I'm ever up in Ohio. Thanks for introducing me to Larry and the NC Knobbie riding group.....have a safe ride home.

Wow sure glad I went, what a great day! Some great riding and was nice to meet some new people. Enjoyed talking to everyone and was a great bunch to ride with. Ended up being a 502 mile day for me, and was back home in plenty of time for dinner

Rooster.... yeah, that was us. After everyone got back to Morganton, Dave and I took Old 18 down to Shelby then took Hwy 74 over to Lake Lure/ Chimney Rock where we checked out a few of the shops and had dinner. From Lake Lure/ Chimney Rock we took Hwy 9 up to Black Mountain, then took Hwy 70 back through your neck of the woods and in to Morganton where Dave and I split off, and I took the Super Slab back home to Hickory. It was a great day....we hit lots of places and soaked up all that beautiful weather we had! Awesome day of riding....

 

 

Hazenson....Glad you were able to come over from Durham to join us. Next time I'm out your way I'll give you a shout.
