Ventureless Posted September 24, 2013 #1 Posted September 24, 2013 For anybody wanting a heated vest (and probably other heated items), don't look past Gears brand. I have heated glove liners and decided I wanted a heated vest as well. I got on Ebay and started looking. It is unusual I find something in my size. I just stumbled upon a Gears Gen X 3 vest in the XL-4XL size. I looked up and found some good reviews on them and started bidding. I won it for about $45. Got it and used it this morning. Works great. I was definitely toasty. Granted it was only mid 40s when I left at 3:30 this morning.
Guest tx2sturgis Posted September 24, 2013 #2 Posted September 24, 2013 I love my (now classic) Widder heated vest when the temps drop below about 45 or so, and I expect to be riding for an hour or more in the cold. I'm glad you were able to get a size that fits. A little trick that I use to help me keep track of the variable controller during the off season: I loop the controller cable thru an arm opening of the vest, then connect it back to itself. (male and female connectors) This way, the two items don't get seperated...at least in theory!
