Shim Tool

Need to borrow a shim tool! ALL my shims are tight! So If I need to replace a bunch I really can't afford to buy a tool at this time, so would like to borrow one.

Hey Richard,

Along with the shim tool, you will need an assortment of "Bucket Shims" to make the adjustments to your valves. One way to do it is to measure how tight the cam to bucket shim clearance is, calculate the thickness of the new shim on 16 valves, and go to the Yamaha Dealer and buy 16 new shims at approx. $10.00 each. OR borrow my shim kit.

I have a shim tool as well. I'm usually in Oshweken for breakfast Sunday mornings so could meet you and let you borrow mine.

OK I am getting a shim tool from Marcarl so thanks for the offers guys. Skydoc 17 I'll get back to you on the shim kit once I know what I need. Who knows maybe I can move some shims around!
