star4772 Posted September 23, 2013 #3 Posted September 23, 2013 A boat is an expensive short season hobby ask me I know. My last was a 28 foot slept six aft cabin the whole nine yards. The cost of gas on the water docking it in the summer and winter storage but you have room for that. I would name it MT Pockets or maybe Hole-in-the water just a thought. :rotf: Joe

By definition, Boat: a hole in the water surrounded by wood, metal or fiberglass, into which you shovel . My last named boat was, Miss B. Haven. It fit.
bryan52577 Posted September 23, 2013 #7 Posted September 23, 2013 (edited) ? I didn't see where or what body of water he was putting it in? So I am going with the assumption he is putting it in his pond? With that said I would call it "Pond Monster Destroyer"! A couple of deck guns and depth charges and he's all set? OR, "PMS".....................................Pond Monster Seeker. Why? What were you thinking? Bryan Edited September 23, 2013 by bryan52577
Brake Pad Posted September 23, 2013 #8 Posted September 23, 2013 " Just Twelve Bucks":whistling::rotf:
Wizard765 Posted September 23, 2013 #9 Posted September 23, 2013 A bunch of years ago my brother and I took his 32 foot cruiser to a Pink Floyd concert in Toronto. Found a slip at Queen's Quay and there was a real nice boat a few slips over with a few folks having a cold one. It was named AM FM and me thinking radio asked the owner what it stood for.. His answer at the time shocked me.. ALL MY F&*KING MONEY
Huggy Posted September 23, 2013 #10 Posted September 23, 2013 AFTIKA "Another F-ing Toy I Cant Afford":whistling: It has a nice Island sound to it.

Huggy Posted September 23, 2013 #20 Posted September 23, 2013 S.S. Minnow Yup, the "SS Minnow" keeps coming to mind! Don't go on any three hour cruises!!!
darthandy Posted September 23, 2013 #21 Posted September 23, 2013 Well, keeping in mind all the comments regarding costs, how about the "S.S. NotSoFreebird". Andy
Freebird Posted September 23, 2013 #22 Posted September 23, 2013 Not to fear my friends. I've owned several boats over the years and I'm well aware of the money pits that they can be. This one is going to be different...right.... As for gas mileage...I don't know but expect 2 - 3 MPG. We'll see.
Skid Posted September 23, 2013 #23 Posted September 23, 2013 Hang in the Freebird. A boat is what you make of it. I've heard for years that the two best days of owning a boat was the first and last, but I disagree. I love the water and if I could be on the water more, I give up riding. To have a boat to live on for a few days would be the best way to go. I've looked at the same size cabin cruisers as yours because I don't want to be tied to one lake. That's why I've kept my Dodge truck.. "Have Diesel will travel"http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/09/24/e7yjares.jpg
bj66 Posted September 23, 2013 #24 Posted September 23, 2013 Don should change his name to Rodney (Dangerfield) and name the boat Seafood. But the boat has to have the cool musical air horn.
The Tooch Posted September 23, 2013 #25 Posted September 23, 2013 OK I'll bite... 'Bosses Hog' More like "Freebird's Gas Hogg"...
