XV1100SE Posted September 23, 2013 #26 Posted September 23, 2013 ...you will be hard pressed on nice days during the summer as to what you will pass the time doing. Do I ride the HD or go out in my yacht Somehow I don't think he'll park it in the pond. More than likely moor it on Lake Erie. Easy...ride the bike to the boat. Mind you, owning a HD... he might be used to trailering "things" to where he wants to go. He might end up trailering the boat from home to the lake every time he wants to go out on it.
Black Owl Posted September 23, 2013 #27 Posted September 23, 2013 Hummm... New Hardley New boat, Now I know who hit the lottery:rotfl::rotfl:

IronMike Posted September 24, 2013 #30 Posted September 24, 2013 You say I'm your new best friend right? OK I'm jealous now. That's sweet.
kantornado Posted September 24, 2013 #32 Posted September 24, 2013 Great looking boat Don, You will have fun with this for sure. The BIG DILEMMA is when to ride the bike or take the boat.
Freebird Posted September 24, 2013 Author #33 Posted September 24, 2013 You say I'm your new best friend right? OK I'm jealous now. That's sweet. No...you WERE my new best friend but that was before you broke up with that long legged blonde.
IronMike Posted September 24, 2013 #35 Posted September 24, 2013 Remember what boat means. Break out another thousand. Before ya test ride. Study up on you tube about boat surveying. Worst things to happen is moisture beneath the laminate look especially around where joints are and where things were drilled and secured, and the boot around the out drive. That's an easy fix, but if its bad, you'll sink. Check the boat us site for lots of good boating links and info. A boat survey is always a good thing. Google boat survey checklist.
Stealthblade Posted September 24, 2013 #36 Posted September 24, 2013 No...you WERE my new best friend but that was before you broke up with that long legged blonde. If any post needed pics, it's this one.
Yammer Dan Posted September 24, 2013 #37 Posted September 24, 2013 I had one of them long legged blondes. Once:whistling: Very quick....
Monty Posted September 28, 2013 #38 Posted September 28, 2013 Nice boat!! I know you're gonna enjoy that. Time to take it easy for a bit.
Freebird Posted September 28, 2013 Author #39 Posted September 28, 2013 Well I got the boat home yesterday. Took it out on a small lake with the dealer rep and everything worked perfectly. Got it home and got the new Lowrance 7HDI depth finder installed. It's a combination GPS, Chart Plotter, Sonar and Down Imaging unit with a 7" screen really nice unit. As we were looking through the boat, we came upon a full camper top that we didn't even know was included. It was in packages and looks like it had never been opened. Don't know how much we will use it but it was a nice bonus. So today we will take it to Lake Erie. May even stay on it overnight, we'll see. Eileen says that we are going to and I've found that she often gets her way.
Huggy Posted September 28, 2013 #40 Posted September 28, 2013 The bike is going to get VERY dusty in the summer me thinks!!
MidlifeVenture Posted September 28, 2013 #41 Posted September 28, 2013 The bike is going to get VERY dusty in the summer me thinks!! The bike tends to to be a week day thing to have time for boating and camping on the weekends and winter is for house work. Good luck juggling the fun
