brd7666 Posted September 22, 2013 #1 Posted September 22, 2013 Wow, what a beauty. This thing is loaded. He bought it right off the showroom floor. It's loaded with options too. It has the Screamin Eagle package, Rigid Leather Locking Saddlebags, Quick Release Compact Windshield with polished braces, Signiture Series Passenger Pillion Seats with the embossed bar and shield logo, Heavy Breather Performance Air Cleaner Kit, Street Cannon Slip On Mufflers, and the whole inside of the boat is chromed out. He had the traditional steering wheel removed, and had the Mini-Ape Handlebars installed (I hope that works out for him). I looked at the accessories for this thing, and man are they expensive. I did a price comparison with Don's new boat and a fully loaded Yamaha Boat. You could get a boat twice the size as the Harley boat for the same price. Although, there is one thing I found that can save money with the Harley Boat. You don't need a GPS to find your way back to the dock. All you have to do is turn the boat around, and follow the oil slick back to shore. http://www.touringhogs.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=62&d=1379771651
The Tooch Posted September 22, 2013 #2 Posted September 22, 2013 Does his new boat have a cassette deck??

Don's new "boat" is such a great machine that they've stopped making them soas to preserve their value forever. Heck, in a few years he can sell it and retire, it's value will have appreciated that much!
Skid Posted September 22, 2013 #4 Posted September 22, 2013 I like boats so wonder if he will start a third new website for boats?
XV1100SE Posted September 22, 2013 #5 Posted September 22, 2013 Freebird should have kept the RSV just to prevent the kidding about Harleys. Been looking at the new site but surprised I haven't seen any articles or posts about how to trailer a Harley. I mean, "touring hog" and "trailer your bike" go together. Sorry Freebird...just kidding with you. The new site looks good and wish you success with it.

Barrycuda Posted September 22, 2013 #7 Posted September 22, 2013 Surprised my neighbor and fairly new member would throw high and inside at the boss...
brd7666 Posted September 22, 2013 Author #8 Posted September 22, 2013 First of all, this is a Yamaha site. I'm only having fun. If someone is referring to my post on the Harley site. An F250 Harley addition would be the ultimate compliment to a Harley of any kind. I'm not going to go to a Harley site and make fun of Harleys. I will make fun of Harley's here on a Yamaha site. It's all good.
rickardracing Posted September 22, 2013 #9 Posted September 22, 2013 I will say one thing, I just did the Bun Burner 1500 with Don last weekend. He rode the Harley. He never had one issue with the bike. Good thing, I only had metric tools in my saddle bag!! But the man has a nice ride.

For what I wanted, with what I had to spend, I had to go with the Yamaha. If I had the money, I would have bought a Harley.

brd7666 Posted September 22, 2013 Author #12 Posted September 22, 2013 No need to get your feathers ruffled. I'm only having fun also... That post really wasn't directed at you. I didn't like being accused of going from forum to forum stirring the pot. That is the furthest from the truth.

etcswjoe Posted September 22, 2013 #14 Posted September 22, 2013 Like this Harley powered boat? http://thekneeslider.com/images/2011/12/harley-speed-boat.jpg
Freebird Posted September 23, 2013 #15 Posted September 23, 2013 Hey folks...it's all in fun. I knew when I bought the Harley that I would need to have VERY THICK skin. I get a laugh out of these posts so don't worry about that. Now you ALL go to your corners and think about what you have done.
IronMike Posted September 24, 2013 #17 Posted September 24, 2013 Freebird, if ya need help setting that thing up, I have extensive trick your boat out experience. http://s34.photobucket.com/user/usmcxterra/library/Boat%20Pics venture is PW to see pics. Freebird Posted September 24, 2013 #18 Posted September 24, 2013 Nice mods you did. I sure don't need a tricky boat though.
