Condor Posted September 22, 2013 #1 Posted September 22, 2013 I've been picking up parts occasionally from Pinwall in Ohio ever since I bought my first Venture. Not a lot, maybe one item a year. Recently I had a need for a set of carbs for my '99RSV, and found what I thought was a good deal for a set of on eBay from Pinwall. The pics looked good and the video sho'd they came off a running bike. When they arrive they were missing a lot of parts that clearly showed were there on the eBay listing. All the numbers on the set matched with the listing so it was the same set. It looked like an employee had a need for parts and went on a little scavenger hunt. MOF if this set ever came off a running bike I'll KYA..... So I called to talk to someone about the problem. Talked to a gal in customer service, and she said the parts are not to be touched, but obviously this set had been. I told her the simplest solution would be to send me the missing parts of which I had a list, but she wouldn't have it and went through their stock and ended up sending me another set off an '07 that were listed on eBay for $100 more. I offered to send the first set back, and she told me to keep them.... So now for my trouble I have a complete set of diaphragms for my 'stash'. I think Pinwall went way out of their way on this one....
Yammer Dan Posted September 22, 2013 #2 Posted September 22, 2013 Can't ask for better treatment than that.
mbrood Posted September 22, 2013 #3 Posted September 22, 2013 My experince is that their email response is pathetic but the phone response and service is great... just have to know their limitations.
sandman Posted September 22, 2013 #4 Posted September 22, 2013 I have dealt with pinwall on occasion and enjoy their customer service. Top notch
