Has anyone ever been on the Auto Train with your bikes?

I'm heading up to NJ Next week, want to take my bike, instead of fly and rent a car,, prices come out about the same.

Is it best to get a cabin? or just do a lounge Chair?

Mike:

at the meet and eat last spring at Siebring, the guy with the old classic Goldwing, had just shipped his bike down on the auto train. I don't remember his name but one of the guys at lunch that day should remember him. He had some damage on the trunk, caused by rubbing after one of the stabilizing straps broke.

Double check on restrictions. According to the Auto Train site, there is a maximum of 102 inches in length from front to rear tire edges.

2nd Gen length is 104.5"

We can load a second gen RSV but the stipulation is this according to the site :

"Exceptions to these measurements may be loaded with a passenger-signed damage waiver".

It is amazing that we can not just load our RSVs without signing a waiver.
