Yammer Dan Posted September 16, 2013 #1 Posted September 16, 2013 Is a 03 clutch slave the same as 1st Gens?? I'm gonna have to learn how to check this stuff. Several 2nd Gen parts that will fit 1st Gens and sometimes a lot nicer when 20 yrs newer.

Here's a link to what Y calls the 'push lever' and if you scroll down it lists all the model years it'll fit. Damn near everything. http://www.partzilla.com/parts/detail/yamaha/YP-1FK-16381-11-00.html?gclid=CNWk6K-50LkCFSU6QgodBCIAKQ
Yammer Dan Posted September 16, 2013 Author #3 Posted September 16, 2013 Don't show MK1s Jack. Was thinking for the 86. It fits 86 V-Max but don't show Venture.
dingy Posted September 16, 2013 #4 Posted September 16, 2013 (edited) Don't show MK1s Jack. Was thinking for the 86. It fits 86 V-Max but don't show Venture. They are the same, I have one from an 2001 RSV and it is the same. Also, VMax is same block as a Venture, so it will fit if it fits VMax'x. Gary Edited September 17, 2013 by dingy
Condor Posted September 16, 2013 #5 Posted September 16, 2013 Don't show MK1s Jack. Was thinking for the 86. It fits 86 V-Max but don't show Venture. I took a look at the part number for an '83 and the number is the same but it has 26H in the prefix. It then changes to 1FK in the '86 and that number is the same into the second Gen's. The actual part number is the 16381. When ever they change even a small something they will change the prefix to indicate the year it first appeared. Even a color, or machining process. As long as the number is the same they are interchangable. So go for it. They will all fit from '83 on.....
Yammer Dan Posted September 17, 2013 Author #6 Posted September 17, 2013 Thanks Guys. I've been having trouble with Sugar shifting for a while. Just not as I think it should be. When it gets hot in traffic it clunks pretty bad. I'm thinking this will cure her. Already done the bleeding fluid change and anything I could think of. So I might snatch this one.
