Brenda H Posted September 17, 2013 #26 Posted September 17, 2013 Bunburner 1500 means 1500 miles within 36 hours so it was a success. GO FREEBIRD!! :You_Rock_Emoticon:
Bert2006 Posted September 17, 2013 #27 Posted September 17, 2013 WOW, longest I have been able to go is 4hrs in the saddle. Congratulations!!
Dave77459 Posted September 17, 2013 #28 Posted September 17, 2013 To honor Gunboat, over Labor Day weekend I made a run from Mexico to Canada as a bun burner. 1685 miles in 32 hours. Others did it in 24 hours, but I wasn't gonna ride through hail. Congrats on your achievement. Of the 1% of motorcyclists who try an iron butt, 1% of them try again. You are elite, a mile eater. :-D Sent from my One S using Tapatalk 4
cowpuc Posted September 17, 2013 #29 Posted September 17, 2013 WAY TO GO YOU TWO!!!! Don, now thats the way to break in a new bike, turn it loose and dont look back:cool10: And I think you are one of the wisest bosses on the planet - riding with a buddy on a Yam,,,,, just in case I always thought it would be fun to buy a new HD, get the extended warranty with no mileage limit and just see how far I could push it.. It would be a blast to pull into the dealership with a million miles on a bike still under warranty Sounds like you guys had fun and THAT is the name of the game!! Puc How did the bikes compare in MPG?
Huggy Posted September 17, 2013 #30 Posted September 17, 2013 Have you ever noticed how Harley riders are really sensitive about the short comings of there bikes? Glad Venture riders are easy going and just roll with the punches!
Condor Posted September 17, 2013 #31 Posted September 17, 2013 I just noticed my VR membership is due in October so it looks like I will get to make a payment on the new Harley. I havent made payments on a Harley in 15 years. This will be new! I think we've already paid for it.... in full.....
