okay so original yamaha part or one of the aftermarkets? for 07 RSV?

 

Is there a lighted spoiler similar to the HONDA GL for our bikes?

 

Saw the tech article on moving trunk back an inch, considering our girth as we get older I may do this, and tricks or tips missed in the article?

 

What locktite do you all use on most bolts?

 

I miss my 96 for the power ( it was heavily modded, carbs ,valve springs, brain box and exhaust) what is the best/least expensive power adder for the gen 2 bikes?

Locktite blue.

 

The lighted spoiler was a disappointment for most who bought it, but they are not available from Yamaha anymore that I know of. They were not bright like you would think.

Yamaha accessories shows both of them, does not mean they are available. The lighted spoiler is not available prepainted to match the 07 Blue and Black, but they have a raven black or primered one you can get painted.

 

Use blue loktite especially if you are near or in any plastic parts.

There is a tech brief in the GEN 2 tech area about adding an LED light bar under the trunk, http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=504 I did something very similar to that , but changed it out recently for one where the left and right segments can be lighted up as turn signals, then wired in some diodes so now I have extra turn signals plus an extra brake light. That light was only something $20.00 , I still have my old run/brake light bar for under the trunk, will let it go for $5.00 plus shipping if you want.

The fine people here steered me to the Yamaha rack because it has chrome strips on the top side that add a considerable amount of support, when I checked into it I was convinced.

 

I got the rack super cheap at local dealer.

I didn't have a chance to measure the width on my trunk this morning...but the Honda spoiler is 20.5" wide. Would this fit as a replacement to the Yamaha wing?

+1 on the disappointment regarding its brightness. In the daylight, its noticeable at best...fair
