There is no load on that wall even your ceiling joists run the other way! That's real good news allowing you to make the changes mentioned by others here with very little fuss or major surgery!

EZ, no bracing needed, tear out the old, if you go wide on one side my suggestion would be to pull the sheeting, frame and resheet to corner. Stick your header in one LVL at a time and nail in place with a 3" ring shank framing nail. Once your all up cut the sheeting, trim out and side.
