rear extender for suspension

so I'm not trying to make my own. Trying to determine if its been done. About how long are the stock links. Mine look longer than what u see in service manual and other pics

Longer links will make the bike lower, shorter links will make the bike sit higher.

Pretty common change is to swap out for leveling links from Diamond R to change the low speed handling of the bike, not sure I have heard of anyone putting on longer links, unless they come as part of the Baron's lowering kit.

stock are shaped like a dogbone, black and thin in the middle.
