The great thing about the CB is when you are riding in a group. It allows you to converse with other riders. Very useful. Generally, the lead bike and the tail bike will have a CB.

I can understand that. I just don't ever ride in a group. Call me anti-social, but I like my space, and don't want to ride at anyone else's speed or ride up to someone else's expectations -- it's not enjoyable for me. For those who do enjoy it -- I'm glad for you. Anyway, that's why I never say any great need for a CB radio. I do wish that I had at least tried it, but I gave away my antenna to someone who had lost theirs on the road, and I don't have a headset either.

At first I didn't like it but after seeing one I have warmed up to it, its different. The Vtwin thing bothers me though.

Rode one last September when they brought the show to town. Ride was good enough. handling was good enough, looks are very personal, bags volume is small, didn't seem to have much low end grunt. Craftmanship, finish & detail are excellent. But I could not get past the inside of my right leg getting "cooked" by the motor & pipes. It looks as if the motor is offset in the frame. As you set on the seat & look down between your legs, you see part of the motor & pipe on the right hand side. You can't see any of the motor on the left side. Maybe it's just me. Anyway, that experience helped lead me to an 07 RSV. No turning back! DNB
