93 venture Posted September 5, 2013 #3 Posted September 5, 2013 Yes you have crickets, Loud pipes will help
ddoggma Posted September 5, 2013 #6 Posted September 5, 2013 I love that sound. When its running right, mine makes the whirllie sound,,,
Peder_y2k Posted September 5, 2013 #7 Posted September 5, 2013 (edited) Could be plastic beginning to rub from vibration. Try lightly pressing on different panels/pieces when you hear the sound. If it quits chirping, there you are.......... -Pete, in Tacoma WA USA Edited September 5, 2013 by Peder_y2k spellcheck
syscrusher Posted September 5, 2013 #8 Posted September 5, 2013 Did you just turn 55? DO you get a chirping sound all the time or only at a certain time of day? What are you doing when you hear the chirping sound? It absolutely is NOT normal.
dacheedah Posted September 5, 2013 #9 Posted September 5, 2013 lube your speedo cable and see if that stops it. Failing to do this will cause speedo cable to fail.
Wizard765 Posted September 5, 2013 #10 Posted September 5, 2013 Is this normal? YES!! Around that speed it is very normal on most 1st Gens.. something about square cut gears or whatnot.. mine is like that as well... I put a little motorkote in every third oil change and it lessens it quite a bit.. at lower speeds and higher speeds it goes away completely.
