2WHEELSFORME Posted September 3, 2013 #1 Posted September 3, 2013 I need a switched hot to tie into somewhere around the battery. That is where my wire is now as I also needed a direct hook up to battery so all three wires are under seat. Any suggestions where? Second choice is in front of the fuel tank if I pull the one wire back to the front.
etcswjoe Posted September 3, 2013 #2 Posted September 3, 2013 If it's not over 5 amps use the passenger outlet cable its right there next to the battery.
M61A1MECH Posted September 3, 2013 #3 Posted September 3, 2013 What are you wanting to power up? The circuit for the tail light is under the seat near the battery, it is switched and is on when ever the ignition is on, but would be careful about how much load I put on that, you do not want to lose your signal lights because of another circuit over laoding it. If you wanting to add LEDs or something that would be the right place to do it, and I have a plug and play harness that will save you having to cut into the bike's wiring.
2WHEELSFORME Posted September 3, 2013 Author #4 Posted September 3, 2013 It is a tri color LED battery monitor. It is under 5 amps. Not at the bike right now but look for the two places suggested. Thanks.
2WHEELSFORME Posted September 4, 2013 Author #5 Posted September 4, 2013 Still don't see anything to try without just cutting into wires.
2WHEELSFORME Posted September 4, 2013 Author #6 Posted September 4, 2013 After clipping ty wramps and some digging I fould the spare switched white plug. Perfect, thanks guys.
