DkKnight Posted February 23, 2008 #1 Posted February 23, 2008 Have seen that they have been released to the market. They are said to have a bit different shape and a flip down sun visor. Has anyone bought one or tried one out? It is about time to replace the helmet I bought with my 05 (an original SYMAX) and am considering it as the replacement. RPG Posted February 23, 2008 #2 Posted February 23, 2008 My SkiDoo Modular 2 is very similar to that including flip down sun visor. The Modular 2 is a great helmet, the flip down visor is a wonderful addition to any helmet, very convienent.
Guest Vermincelli Posted February 24, 2008 #3 Posted February 24, 2008 I've been shopping all over for a new modular and so far the only one I've found that fits me has been the V1R. The others are just too small or my chin is slammed into the chin bar. This though looks like the winner for me. Now if they would just release it in yellow.
BuddyRich Posted February 24, 2008 #4 Posted February 24, 2008 Have not seen that one yet. Last year I bought a Scorpion half helmet with the flip up/down tinted visor. I really like it although its easy to forget its there when its flipped up into the helmet. Its still not enough for riding into a rising/setting sun so I added a piece of black electric tape along the top to help block it out.
Crash Posted February 25, 2008 #5 Posted February 25, 2008 My wife and I have the NOLAN flip helmets and they are great. I know the new ones are available with built in speakers, etc.
Ferrantelli Posted February 25, 2008 #6 Posted February 25, 2008 I currently use a Schuberth concept. Top notch quality and the first one with a built in dark visor, a bit pricey but best fit at the time for my big noggin. This HJC will be in the running when I decide to buy a new one. Here is the new Schuberth Concept. http://www.schuberth.com/uploads/tx_pxscrollitems/uni_tiefschwarz_01.jpg
